What is it ?
MISTER will be a taxi like, Private Transportation System for the Public
Ecological, 21st century, public transportation system of PRT type (Personal Rapid Transit), will significantly change for better the way in which we travel and live in cities and beyond, solving traffic congestion and stress associated with commuting. It will also revolutionize goods delivery logistics and garbage removal. Very importantly, it will reduce pollution within cities, as it won’t emit any pollutants and will be extremely energy efficient (under 2 KW needed while cruising ie. like an electric hair dryer).
MISTER will be a taxi like service for public and cargo transportation. It is driven by demand and individual travel requirements with throughput of some 5,000-10,000 passengers p/hour (in one direction). Total distribution capacity will be even higher than metro systems, not to mention buses or tramways, because MISTER is surface based (denser network than busses) and not a corridor bound, like metro.
Small and light vehicles (200-300 kg tara + 1-4 passengers), fully automated and similar to ski gondolas, are travelling at a constant speed of some 40 km/h between any start and destination stops of MISTER network (without any intermediate stops). Lightness of the vehicles translates into lightness of the overhead truss-rail infrastructure (under which cabins are travelling) and supporting posts. Externally powered (traction) electric motors are integrated into vehicles carriage assembly.
Small, off-line stops (stations), which are not obstructing any other traffic (existing or own), are located as frequently as bus stops and have multiple parallel platforms for quicker loading/unloading of passengers and cargo. They can be located on the pavement or inside hotels, buildings, malls, hospitals, cinemas etc., providing additional comfort and safety. Convenient wheel chair access everywhere, aircon, constant level position of the vehicles.
Tickets cost will be similar to the current public transport costs and much less than using private cars. It will be possible because of drastically reduced costs of energy requirements, maintenance and staffing, as well as to the less expensive infrastructure, when compared to metro or even bus or tramways.
MISTER avoids all of the problems inherent in current city transport systems. At the same time all economical and functional parameters are vastly improved in comparison to tbus, tramway, metro or light rail. It is also far less expensive and much quicker to build than any other infrastructure.
Entire system is fully controlled and automated by an intelligent, distributed computer network, which ensures safety and security of all vehicle movement and of passengers at the stops and in vehicles.
ATTENTION !
There are few other systems in commercial development stage right now (USA, Finland, Sweden, UK, Korea and Singapore) and therefore a breakthrough in acceptance of PRT systems. We rejoice at the success of our competitors because this means that the PRT REVOLUTION has began !
However, they are using designs and technologies, which seem to be less efficient in terms of energy, throughput, weight or system control. We believe that MISTER is less expensive to build and operate, simpler and more functional. It is suspended, therefore more stable, able to climb at high angles but always levelled, externally powered thus lighter (no batteries) etc.
